The Elon University Phoenix compete as members of the Southern Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Elon is a private Church of Christ institution located in Elon, North Carolina, midway between Greensboro and Raleigh. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
