The Heart of Dallas Bowl is a bowl game held at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The game, originally referred to as the Dallas Football Classic, then the TicketCity Bowl in a corporate sponsorship maneuver, was created in 2010 to replace the Cotton Bowl itself, which had moved to Arlington Stadium. Initial plans were for the bowl to feature a Big Ten Conference team facing, in alternating years, a team from the Big 12 Conference or Conference USA. Due to realignment, the Big 12 tie-in has been dropped, and Conference USA is the Big 10's permanent opponent (for now).
