Aloha Bowl
From Varsity Pride
The Aloha Bowl was a bowl game held at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawai'i from 1982-2000. The bowl was sponsored by Jeep for much of its run; when this sponsorship ended, plans were made to move the bowl to San Francisco. These plans failed when the bowl was decertified, although San Francisco did in fact receive a new bowl game that same year (the San Francisco Bowl).
In general, the bowl pitted two at-large teams against one another, although the Big Eight had a tie-in from 1992-1995, and the Pac-10 from 1995-2000.
