The Ellendale Center-University of North Dakota Snitchers ceased operations in 1969, and the campus closed after a fire in 1971. At the time it shut down its athletic programs, the school was a member of the Dakota Athletic Conference; the campus was turned over to Trinity Bible College for $1, but the two schools are wholly separate entities. North Dakota-Ellendale was a public institution located in Ellendale, North Dakota, about two hours southwest of Fargo.
