The Mid-Continent University Cougars ceased operations when the school went bankrupt in 2014. Mid-Continent was a private Baptist institution located in Mayfield, Kentucky, about two-and-a-half hours northeast of Nashville, Tennessee. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
