The University of Antelope Valley Pioneers are scheduled to begin competing as members of the California Pacific Conference in men's NAIA Division II Basketball in 2015, with the women's program tentatively scheduled to begin in 2016. The school does not sponsor football. Antelope Valley is a private non-sectarian for-profit institution located in Lancaster, California, about an hour north of Los Angeles. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
