Doak Walker Award
From Varsity Pride
The Doak Walker Award is a college football award given each year to the nation's most outstanding running back as determined by a panel of media members and former winners, as well as a selection of former running backs whose careers predate the award. In order to be eligible for the Doak Walker Award, a candidate must be in good academic standing and on schedule to graduate within five years of matriculation; these requirements make the award unique among individual college football awards.
