Canterbury College ceased operations in 1951 when the school closed due to financial problems. The school formerly participated in NAIA basketball, reaching the NAIA Tournament twice in the 1940s. Canterbury, formerly Central Indiana Normal College, was an private Episcopal institution located in Danville, Indiana, about 20 minutes west of the capital city of Indianapolis.
