The Liberty University Flames compete as members of the Big South Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Liberty, formerly known as "Lynchburg Baptist College" and "Liberty Baptist College", is a private Baptist institution located in the central Virginia city of Lynchburg. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 10,000.
