The Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers compete as members of the Big South Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Charleston Southern is a public institution located in the city of Conway, South Carolina, just a few miles inland from Myrtle Beach. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
