The University of Evansville Purple Aces compete as members of the Missouri Valley Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1998. Evansville is a private Methodist institution located in the far southern Indiana city of Evansville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
