The Knoxville College Bulldogs compete as unclassified independents in basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1997. Knoxville, a historically black college, is a private Presbyterian institution located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The school has an enrollment of under 1,000. Knoxville lost its accrediation in 1997 and has thus far been unable to regain it; the termination of the school's football team and lack of affiliation for its basketball teams were a direct result of this issue.
