The Urbana University Blue Knights begin competing as NCAA Division II Basketball Independents on a provisional basis in 2008. The school does not sponsor football. Urbana is a private non-sectarian institution located in Urbana, Ohio, about an hour west of Columbus. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
