The Arkansas Tech University Wonder Boys (Golden Suns for the women's teams) compete as members of the Gulf South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Gulf South to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. Arkansas Tech is a public institution located in Russellville, Arkansas, about an hour northwest of Little Rock. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
