The Shepherd University Rams compete as members of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (1924-2013) in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Shepherd is a public institution located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, in the eastern panhandle about an hour northwest of Washington, DC. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
