The California Baptist University Lancers compete as members of the Golden State Athletic Conference in NAIA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football. The school is currently in exploratory status, moving to NCAA Division II. Cal Baptist is a private Baptist institution located in Riverside, California, about an hour east of Los Angeles. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
