The University of New Haven Chargers compete as members of the Northeast Ten Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. The school ceased sponsoring football in 1993, but revived the program in 2008. New Haven is a private non-sectarian institution located in the New Haven suburb of West Haven, Connecticut. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
