The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils (Cotton Blossoms for the women's teams) compete as members of the Gulf South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Gulf South to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. Arkansas-Monticello, formerly "Arkansas A&M", is a public institution located in the city of Monticello, Arkansas, in the southeastern corner of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
