The Stephens College Wildcats compete as members of the American Midwest Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. As a women's college, the school does not sponsor football or men's basketball. In 2008, the school will join the American Midwest Conference. Stephens is a private non-sectarian women-only institution located in Columbia, Missouri, midway between Saint Louis and Kansas City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
