The Northern Illinois University Huskies compete as members of the Mid-American Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Northern Illinois is a public institution located in DeKalb, Illinois, about an hour west of Chicago. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 19,000.
