The University of Kansas Jayhawks compete as members of the Big 12 Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Kansas is a public institution located in Lawrence, Kansas, about a half-hour west of Kansas City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 21,000.
