The Iowa State University of Science and Technology, usually just referred to as "Iowa State", Cyclones compete as members of the Big 12 Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Iowa State is a public land-grant institution located about an hour north of the state capital of Des Moines, in Ames, Iowa. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 22,000.
