The University of Texas-Pan American, or UTPA and previously just Pan American, Broncs compete as independents in NCAA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football. UTPA is a public institution located in Edinburg, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley near Brownsville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 17,000.
