The Brigham Young University Cougars compete as members of the Mountain West Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. In 2012, the school will become an independent in football and join the West Coast Conference in all other sports. Brigham Young is a private Latter-Day Saints institution located in Provo, Utah, about 90 minutes south of Salt Lake City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 27,000.
