Saint John's College ceased sponsoring athletics in 1923, and finally closed in 1986 due to declining enrollments and financial problems. At the time it stopped competing in athletics, the school was a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Saint John's was a private Lutheran institution located in Winfield, Kansas, about 45 minutes southeast of Wichita.
