The Whitman College Missionaries compete as members of the Northwest Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Whitman is a private non-sectarian institution located in Walla Walla, Washington, about three hours south of Spokane. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
