The University of Massachusetts Lowell, or UMass-Lowell, Riverhawks compete as members of the Northeast Ten Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 2003. UMass-Lowell is a public institution located in Lowell, Massachusetts, about 45 minutes north of Boston near the New Hampshire border.
