The Truman State University Bulldogs compete as members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2013, the Bulldogs will move to the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Truman State, formerly "Northeast Missouri State" or "Kirksville State", is a public institution located in Kirksville, Missouri, about an hour north of Columbia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
