The University of New Haven Chargers compete as members of the Northeast Ten Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1993. New Haven is a private non-sectarian institution located in the New Haven suburb of West Haven, Connecticut. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
