The Utah Valley State College, or USVC, Wolverines compete as independents in NCAA Division I basketball, currently transitioning directly to Division I from the junior college ranks. USVC is a public institution located in Orem, Utah, about an hour south of Salt Lake City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 20,000. In July, 2008, the school will become "Utah Valley University".
