The Gonzaga University Bulldogs (or Zags, unofficially) compete as members of the West Coast Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1941. Gonzaga is a Catholic (Jesuit) institution located in Spokane, Washington, in the eastern part of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
