The Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers compete as members of the Sun Belt Conference in NCAA Division I basketball, and effective in 2009 in NCAA Division I FBS football as well, upon completion of their transtion from NCAA Division I FCS. Western Kentucky is a public institution located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in the west-central part of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 16,000.
