The University of North Texas Mean Green compete as members of the Sun Belt Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. North Texas, formerly "North Texas State", is a public institution located in Denton, Texas, about an hour north of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 25,000.
