The Long Island University-Brooklyn Blackbirds compete as members of the Northeast Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1940. LIU-Brooklyn is a private non-sectarian institution located in the borough of Brooklyn, New York. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 13,000.
