The South Dakota State University Jackrabbits compete as members of the Gateway Football Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football, and in the Mid-Continent Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. South Dakota State is a public land-grant institution located in Brookings, South Dakota, about an hour north of Sioux Falls. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 9,000.
