The Missouri State Bears compete as members of the Gateway Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and as members of the Missouri Valley Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. Missouri State, formerly known as Southwest Missouri State, is a public institution located in Springfield, Missouri. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 18,000.
