The Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl is a bowl game held in Detroit, Michigan since 1997. The original site was the Pontiac Silverdome until Ford Field opened in 2002. The game was known as the Motor City Bowl until 2009.

The Mid-American Conference sends a host representative (usually the conference champion, although the champion is not obligated to accept this bid). The opponent, since 2007, has been slated to be a team from the Big Ten Conference, and if no eligible team is available, from the Sun Belt Conference. As the Big Ten has numerous tie-ins, only once has a Big Ten team played here since the beginning of this arrangement. In 2009, neither conference was able to supply a team, and thus Marshall from Conference USA was selected.
