The Lindenwood University Lions compete as members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference in NAIA football and NAIA Division I basketball. In 2012, the school will move to NCAA Division II and join the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Lindenwood is a private Presbyterian institution located in Saint Charles, Missouri, about a half hour northwest of Saint Louis. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
