The Brescia University Bearcats compete as members of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Brescia is a private Catholic (Ursuline) institution located in Owensboro, Kentucky, about a half-hour southeast of Evansville, Indiana. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
