The Fontbonne University Griffins compete as members of the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Fontbonne is a private Catholic (Saint Joseph) institution located in Clayton, Missouri, a western suburb of Saint Louis. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
