The Utica College Pioneers compete as members of the Empire 8 Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Utica, a former division of Syracuse University, is a private non-sectarian institution located in Utica, New York, about an hour east of Syracuse. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
