The Marymount College Spartans ceased operations in 1989 when the school closed due to financial problems. At the time, the school was a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, competing in NAIA basketball. Marymount was a private Catholic (Jesuit) institution located in Salina, Kansas, about two hours west of Kansas City.
