The Louisiana State University-Shreveport Pilots compete as members of the Red River Athletic Conference in NAIA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football. LSU-Shreveport is a public institution located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
It has been proposed that this school and Louisiana Tech would be merged as a result of budget woes within Louisiana. At this point, it is unknown what the fate of the Pilots will be.
