The University of Puget Sound Loggers compete as members of the Northwest Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Puget Sound is a private non-sectarian (formerly Methodist) institution located in Tacoma, Washington, about a half-hour southwest of Seattle. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
