The Sacred Heart University Pioneers compete as members of the Northeast Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Sacred Heart is a private Catholic (Diocesan) institution located in Fairfield, Connecticut, in the southwestern portion of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
