The Norfolk State University Spartans compete as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Divsion I basketball. Norfolk State, a historically black college, is a public institution located in the Hampton Roads city of Norfolk, Virginia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
