The Ball State University Cardinals compete as members of the Mid-American Conference in NCAA Division I FBS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Ball State, formerly known as "Palmer University" and "Indiana Normal College", is a public institution located in Muncie, Indiana, about 45 minutes northeast of Indianapolis. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 19,000.
