The Southern Oregon University Raiders compete in NAIA Division I as members of the Cascade Collegiate Conference in basketball, and in NAIA football as members of the Frontier Conference. The school does not sponsor football. Southern Oregon is a public institution located in Ashland, Oregon, about four and a half hours south of Portland. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
