The Dalton State College Roadrunners compete as members of the Southern States Athletic Conference in NAIA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football, and does not yet sponsor women's basketball. Dalton State is a public institution located in Dalton, Georgia, about 90 minutes northwest of Atlanta. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
