The Champs Sports Bowl is a bowl game held at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The game began in 1990 as the Blockbuster Bowl, played in Miami at Joe Robbie Stadium. In 1994, it became the CarQuest Bowl, then the MicronPC Bowl in 1998, before moving to Orlando and taking on the dormant Tangerine Bowl name for 2002-2003. These two years were the only time this bowl has been known by a traditional name rather than by a corporate sponsorship.
The game featured at-large selections until the 1995 season, when the Atlantic Coast Conference took the host slot. In 2006, they began being paired with a Big Ten Conference team; this changed to a Big East Conference selection in 2010.
